Mitch van Heeswijk, a 20-year-old from Schijndel, The Netherlands, leads a dynamic and active life. Living with his parents, younger brother, and their beloved dog, he balances his time between studies, hobbies, and sports. In his free time, Mitch enjoys immersing himself in video games, often playing Elden Ring, Phasmophobia, Minecraft, Battlefield, and Valorant. While he prefers gaming with friends, he also appreciates the occasional solo adventure. Music is another passion of his, as he enjoys playing the guitar whenever he gets the chance. However, baseball is where Mitch truly shines. He plays for the U21 team on Saturdays and the H2 team on Sundays, dedicating his Tuesday and Wednesday evenings to training. His love for the sport goes beyond playing—he also coaches and trains a U12 team every Thursday, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with younger players. Academically, Mitch’s journey has been one of discovery. After graduating from HAVO at 18, he initially pursued HBO automotive engineering. However, he soon realized that the heavy focus on math and science wasn’t for him. Seeking a field that better matched his interests, he made the switch to ICT—a choice that reignited his passion for learning and problem-solving. With his diverse interests and dedication to both gaming and sports, Mitch continues to carve his own path, always eager for new challenges and opportunities.
